Cleveland, Ohio - April 2, 2002 - Five Star Technologies announces the issuance of its latest patent for the preparation of metal containing compounds using its proprietary hydrodynamic cavitation process.
Five Star Technologies (FST) newly issued patent, US 6,365,555, entitled "Method of preparing metal containing compounds using hydrodynamic cavitation" is FST's latest US patent to issue. Materials made under this patent method are being used to provide specific catalytic and ceramic solutions to the emission control, fuel cell, battery and microelectronic markets.
The key output of the process is the development and manufacture of powder-based materials with special emphasis on methods to produce complex nanostructured materials in high phase purity. Examples cited in the patent include the synthesis of metal oxides, mixed metal oxides, unsupported precious metals and deposition of precious metals on metal oxide supports.
US 6,365,555 is the 9th US patent built around FST's core controlled flow cavitation reactor technology and the 1st of a series of material synthesis and process patents expected to issue throughout 2002 and 2003 as FST broadens its IP portfolio.
Five Star Technologies is a privately held advanced materials and process development company focused on the application of its core reactor technology - controlled flow cavitation - to provide specific materials solutions for a wide range of challenging applications
