With the ability to create consistent, rheologically stable inks and pastes, Five Star can
offer unique solutions to the manufacturers of flat panel displays. Independent of the deposition
methodology, our technology can deliver unique rheological systems for demanding applications such
as plasma, LCD and touch screens.
The ability to precisely deposit materials with well-defined features can reduce or eliminate many
cumbersome manufacturing processes (such as photolithography, etching and other ablation methods) in
the construction of such devices. This can result in size and weight reduction of the end product and
materials savings in addition to elimination of unnecessary waste streams.
Five Star currently offers a line of conductive pastes designed specifically for use in touch screen
electrodes and linearization patterns. These products deliver superior rheology, the ability to print
fine features, and excellent conductivity, all in lead-free, RoHS-compliant formulas.
Five Star also offers a line of specialty dispersions suitable for display applications, including
dispersions of glass, metal oxides, phosphors and specialty pigments.
